  • I offer a flexible consultancy model, working closely with you or your marketing team during 1 or 2 days a week to help create, enhance or fine tune internal processes and strategies that lead to a cohesive and creative marketing output.

    With experience, empathy and honesty I can support you in shaping and growing your in-house team, focusing on departmental growth, building campaigns, connecting internal teams such as sales, design and marketing to ensure alignment or lead on bigger marketing projects.

    A flexible consultancy model allows us to build your brand, your processes and strategies in an environment that invites openness, honesty and creative freedom.

  • For smaller businesses in need of extra guidance and nurturing, I offer personalised sessions, where we can spend time together focusing on specific marketing challenges.

    These could include creating a marketing plan, brainstorming campaign ideas or refining creative concepts. We’ll discuss best practices and set up processes that will help you to manage your marketing independently.

    Workshops typically run for 60 or 90 minutes, half a day or can be tailored to you or your team.  

  • Marketing is a brand, business and creative tool that I love. Teaching the next generation of creatives and helping shape young minds is inspiring.

    As sessional lecturer at Ravensbourne University, I have spent the last 3 years teaching students with a friendly and empathetic style. My approach not only explores marketing concepts, it also aims to encourage students to present them in ways that nurture a love for marketing and self confidence. I believe in creating learning environments that foster an openness to sharing, listening and engaging positively.

    As a mentor, my focus lies in creating trusting relationships with my mentees, offering open spaces to explore their creativity and nurture strategic thinking. I want them to walk away with confidence in their own skills and intuition, practical knowledge and a growing network that will help them advance their careers in the creative industries.

    I have mentored as part of an initiative by I Like Networking and the Start Up Lab at Ravensbourne University.

Hey, I’m Julia, a creative-minded Marketing Consultant with over 17 years experience helping brands use creativity to shape their identity and share their stories.

My love for design and the creative industries has been nurtured throughout decades working with brands such as Elle MacPherson Intimates, design studio Tom Dixon, London’s Design District and British furniture manufacturer Morgan.

While big brands offered exciting challenges, I’ve always been interested in creating closer connections with smaller creative businesses, designers and makers, leading me to set up JDW.  

I work collaboratively with clients, fostering an environment that invites openness, honesty and creative freedom within spaces that nurture and support a variety of opinions, outlooks and points of view. I believe soft, feminine skills such as empathy and openness should sit confidently alongside hard skills including strategy and management.
