The industry can be very saturated and it can be so easy to simply follow the pack or the latest trend. Remaining focused and staying true to me and my own unique aesthetic amongst a crowd of many talented photographers and creatives is incredibly important to me. We all have something different to bring to the table.

Lisa is a photographer and stylist based in London/Hertfordshire, specialising in product, lifestyle, interiors and food.

After training in photography, she went on to gain expansive professional experience in visual merchandising and styling which has since led her to the path of freelancing. Lisa is fully equipped with the knowledge, experience and passion to create engaging content for brands.

The ‘One Thing’ I want to be known for

Staying true to my myself and my style of photography. The industry can be very saturated and it can be so easy to simply follow the pack or the latest trend. Remaining focused and staying true to me and my own unique aesthetic amongst a crowd of many talented photographers and creatives is incredibly important to me. We all have something different to bring to the table.

The ‘One Thing’ I care about deeply

It’s simple but I'll always endeavour to make a positive impact. Whether its teeny tiny or more significant, whether I’m inspiring someone to pick up the camera or helping a small business gain more sales through the engaging imagery I have created. It's crucial that whatever I create with my work, it's valuable in some way to someone or something.

The ‘One Thing’ I want to inspire in others

To bite the bullet and take that risk that scares you. I did just that when I decided to go freelance and it has paid off in more ways than I could have ever imagined. I’m a firm believer that if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.

The ‘One Thing’ I enjoy most about the creative process

As much as I enjoy the full 360 creative process of brainstorming to the final result, I really do love those spontaneous ideas that spark out of nowhere or when I take a photo that I didn’t plan to but it ended up being my fave of the lot. I, like many, get creative blocks from time to time and there really is no solution but only to step back and refresh. Sometimes the planned process doesn’t quite work out, and that ok.

The ‘One Thing’ I want others to feel when they engage with my work

I want people to feel the creativity that I put into my work. It’s about bringing the subject to life in the photo and drawing people in. I also love sharing snippets of behind the scenes or even the failures as it gives a bit more insight into what it takes to get that final shot, it’s not always as it seems.

The One Creative you must start following today

I am in awe of Sophie Witham’s work @blossomanddill. She is a florist and photographer and creates the most memorising floral displays, everything is so dreamy.
